John’s writing shares a high view of Christology. He beautifully describes the signs and wonders that Jesus performed in his Gospel. He mentions that they were meant to bring people to a faith in Him; to see Him as the Son of God, the long-awaited Messiah.
John exhorts us that this understanding of Jesus and His work should bring us to a kind of life that is found in Him.
Finding our lives in His name is not limited to our eternal dwelling, but His desire is for us to live joyful and abundant lives found in him (John 10:10). The celebration of Christmas should remind us with the truth that fullness of life is found when our lives revolve around the person and work of Jesus.
